Bio:
Blanca Beatriz was born in Sancti Spiritus, Cuba in 1969, and studied Plastic Arts Education at the Higher Institute of Education “Enrique Jose Varona” in Havana.
In 1991 she moved to Miami, Florida where she currently lives, continuing her education at Miami-Dade College, Florida International University, and the University of Miami.
She has been involved in creating poetry in Spanish, her native language, and the visual arts focusing on painting and drawing.
Blanca has experimented with poetry, prose, installation, sculpture, printmaking, photography, digital media, video, sound, mail art, and book arts. She has participated extensively in local and international exhibitions, mail art, book arts projects, and collaborations.
From 2013 to 2023, she focused on pursuing the study and practice of kabbalah. In 2023, Blanca returns to the arts with the passion to produce and share her mystical, symbolic, and poetic artwork, incorporating the spiritual legacy of kabbalah into her work.
